  4.     The Who aren't who they used to be. The archetypal renegade
  5. band not only tore concerts and parties to pieces; they burned
  6. themselves out. Drummer KEITH MOON died of a drug overdose in 1978.
  7. Bandleader PETE TOWNSHEND'S hearing is shot. In 1982 Townshend,
  8. lead singer ROGER DALTREY and JOHN ENTWISTLE performed a farewell
  9. tour and drifted apart. Last week, however, the Who announced they
  10. will make a 25th anniversary tour, including a revival of their
  11. 1969 rock opera Tommy. "I've only just about recovered from seven
  12. years ago," says a much mellowed Townshend. "I hope to get through
  13. this with only a few aching limbs."
